About Magnolia, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The first settlement in the Magnolia vicinity was a town called Mink Prairie, founded around the middle of the 19th century. A farmer named Mink built a farmhouse and the area gained his name. IN just a few years, the town's name was abbreviated to Mink.  After the Civil War, Mink's population boomed. There was a flood of settlers from Kentucky and Tennessee.  As time went on, Mink gave way to Magnolia and the town of Magnolia has become a community founded in the old-fashioned values of the homesteaders but with a modern mentality. You might say it is the best of all worlds. The weather, which is mild all year round, means people are out and about every day.

Many of them are likely enjoying The Magnolia Stroll. The charming tree-shaded half-mile pedestrian footpath connecting Magnolia Sixth Grade Campus to Sullivan Park is an absolutely perfect way to enjoy the beautiful weather that this area has to offer.  With the shade of the trees, as well, it is also fantastic for those extra hot days. Take a relaxed walk or a vigorous jog and take in the beautiful street arbors, seating walls, public art displays and more.

Magnolia is not far outside of Houston and there are many commuters who live in Magnolia while their offices are in Houston. This is because Houston is the most populous city in Texas boasting a population of about 2.5 million. It is simply too large for many people to want to call home. Urban living is great for some but oftentimes families find their way to the smaller suburban towns and Magnolia is a top pick for many reasons.  It’s a great place for people who want their kids out and about in the beautiful weather and who are looking for a more traditional way of life than Houston may be able to offer. But, Magnolia is so close to everything (hospitals, museums, parks, restaurants, etc.) that residents never feel like they are isolated or “out of touch.”
